Merry Christmas friends! as many of you , I  decorate on a budget!  And this Christmas season, I accidentally found the greatest thing! Decorative pillow covers to go over my existing pillows. And of course, I am a amazon prime member, so they arrived in two days. If you are not an amazon prime customer, I think you can get free shipping for purchase of $35 or more.

Perfect Applesauce- In less that ten minutes! Instant pot!

I was shocked, totally shocked when I went to make my canned applesauce this past fall and decided to use my Instant pot for my apples. It was so easy, I was in disbelief that I could make it so effortlessly. I had 10 pounds of apples I had picked at the orchard, peeled them and threw them in the pot.  Added 2 cups of water, 1 cup of sugar and 4 tbsp of cinnamon. Set the pot on manual for 10 minutes and ta-da! It was done. Made my canning day go so fast I had all

Perfect picture wall!!!! under $30!!! Re purposed door!

Hi friends, As always I am trying to decorate on a budget! I had a long hallway to the bedrooms, that never seemed to get the right decor it needed. I had a picture in my mind of what i wanted, just couldn’t find the right piece. I am a big fan of re purposing. So here, I found what i think was a patio door, maybe a french door. It is the size of a door, but had all 15 panes of glass. It was of course a really dark ugly brown wood color. I bought it for $20! So

My daily reminder

This past month, I celebrated my birthday and received this nice little picture from my sister for my birthday. Had no idea the impact this would have on my  daily life. At first I had no idea where I was going to hang it, then one day thought to put in next to the coffee pot. Not realizing the importance of this decision! Every morning whether it be at 5 am when I get ready for work or 9 am on my days off, it is a constant reminder to spend some time with the Lord.   I just

Happy Fall Ya”ll!!!!

Welcome fall! one of my most favorite times of year! Cooler weather, bonfires, pumpkins and the changing color of the leaves! Wish fall would last a little longer, because here in Wisconsin, what follows fall is a very harsh and cold time of year! Today I spent a little time decorating the outdoors. I added mums to my existing flower pots and put out my scare crows!       Also decorated my “she- shed” today!  IF you notice the ladder, it was all free! I Found the ladder on garbage night, and found the wooden boxes on the side of
